Shazia Mirza - very funny and multi award winning. She works all over the world and has toured the US, Sweden, Denmark, France Holland and Germany. She has appeared on CBS 60 Minutes, NBC's Last Comic Standing, and Have I got News for You (BBC). Shazia could have married a rich man and lived in a mansion on The Bishops Avenue, with servants, bidets, and horses. But instead she chose to drive up and down the country for as little as ten pounds, staying in dirty lurid bed and breakfasts trying to make people laugh. She thought of giving up, but no Muslim man wants to marry her, now that's she's dabbled in jokes and fingered a few white men on the 38 bus."Her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy."William Cook, The Guardian

Don Biswas - high energy raw and punchy one-liner merchant/story teller Some of his gags draw on the fact he has Aspersers Syndrome and Dyspraxia (poor coordination and organization) and others about his Indian heritage (usually in the form of one-liners/gags). However, he will generally talk about a wide variety of subject matters from politics to the downright silly subjects, such as car insurance. Don has recently done successful open spots for some of the biggest clubs in London including the Comedy Store, Comedy at the Hob and Monkey Business comedy club (main night) as well as sets for smaller clubs such as Terry the Stand Up and Bubble Bath comedy.Great Comic TimingMonkey Business Comedy Club.

Other Events A one man show that has something for everyone: characters that will make you laugh until you cry, a few Bollywood-style song and dance routines and a wickedly funny look at Indian culture and life in New Zealand.D'Arranged Marriage is the story of Sanjay Gupta, the New Zealand born son of Indian immigrants Manhur and Pushpa. 29 year-old Sanjay lives at home, works in his father’s corner shop, dreams of a career in stand-up comedy, and strenuously avoids the issue of an arranged marriage. His nagging parents finally get the better of him, but to his surprise, he discovers that Neenu, the prospective bride, is the one!Unfortunately, complications (and hilarity) ensue… Adding to Sanjay’s trials and tribulations are Dilip, a gimpy uncle who yearns for the perfect Indian woman; the smooth-talking, sleazy playboy Rundeep; and Mr. Dave Patel, Johnny Walker (and the British Empire’s) best friend, who is Sanjay’s potential father-in-law.With all 8 characters performed by one versatile actor, you have the funniest parody of Indian family life since Bend it Like Beckham, and what critics have dubbed a “roller coaster ride to laughsville.”Performed in 7 countries over 200 times, D’Arranged Marriage is a proven international commercial and critical success.
